Davide Galaverna graduated from the “A. Boito” Conservatory in Parma under master V. Gorgni and subsequently attended master courses with Maestro f. Petracchi and W. Guttler. He has obtained several qualifications in competitions and auditions at lyric-symphonic institutions including: Orchestra ” A. Toscanini” of Parma”, I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, Orchestra della RAI di Milano, Orchestra “J. Haydn” of Trento and Bolzano, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana di Lugano, Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, Orchestra Regionale Toscana, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Teatro Massimo di Palermo,Orchestra ” Angelicum” of Milan, Orchestra dell’Arena di Verona, Orchestra da Camera di Neuchâtel.
For what concerns chamber music, he has carried out activities in Italy and abroad as the first double bass with the prestigious ensemble “I Solisti Veneti” conducted by Claudio Scimone and the Italian Chamber Orchestra Salvatore Accardo.
He has also carried out activities with the Chamber Orchestra “Antonio Stradivari” conducted by Maestro Daniele Gatti, touring Italy, Europe and South America.
In the concert field, he carries out activities in duo with the pianist Ketty Teriaca. Since 1999 he has been the first double bass at the Teatro Bellini in Catania.
Since 2012 he has been a professor of double bass at the I.S.S.M. of Caltanissetta.
