Angelo Palmeri, oboist graduated from the V. Bellini Music Institute “of Caltanissetta in ’90 with honors, was later perfected with renowned masters. There are numerous performances as soloist in many parts of the world: New York, Strasbourg, Vichy, Shanghai, Luzhou, Poznam, Palermo, Vinci, Enna, Sciacca … among his performances the concerts of: W.A. Mozart, A. Marcello, V. Bellini, A. Vivaldi, T. Albinoni, J.S. Bach, A. Salieri. He has made recordings for Italian and foreign television stations and has participated in the recording of some CDs (with artists such as Andrea Bocelli, K. Ricciarelli). He has published a book entitled: “Guide to the construction of the reed” for oboe. He has performed in duo with many artists including the famous guitarist A. Diaz. He has carried out an intense concert activity with several chamber groups with whom he has also performed in the Italian Cultural Institutes of Tokyo, Brussels, Wolfsburg and Valletta. (Malta). Has won numerous first prizes in national and international competitions. In his career he includes touneè with prestigious institutions in : Russia (Mosca, San Pietroburgo), Belgio (Bruxelles), Olanda (Eindoven), Ungheria (Budapest, Eger), Libano (Beirut), Giappone (Osaka, Tokio, Yokohama, Hamamatsu…), Albania (Valona, Agicastro, Apollonia), Spagna (Saragozza, Pamplona) Cina (Pechino, Tianjin, Harbin, Haikou, Xiamen, Foshan, Luzhou, Chongqinqn, Nanjing, Anshan, Shenyang, Whuan…), Malta (La Valletta); Polonia (Poznam); Romania (Bacau) Irlanda (Dublino) Inghilterra (Liverpool, Hoyklake) si è esibito negli Istituti di Cultura Italiana all’estero di Bruxelles, Malta, Wolfsbur e Tokio. He was qualified in three auditions at the EAOSS Sicilian Symphony Orchestra with whom he collaborated from 1992 to 2015 holding the position of first oboe. He was the winner of the Audition at the Autonomous Body Massimo V. Bellini of Catania, following which from 2000 to 2012 he held the post of first and second Oboe. He has been a member of the following orchestras as principal oboe: Filarmonica del Teatro Verdi di Salerno, la Fondazione TEATRO Massimo di Palermo, Fondazione Luglio Musicale Trapanese, Orchestra dell’ Ente Autonomo Regionale Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Messina, Orchestra Teatro Cilea Reggio Calabria. He has performed with famous soloists and conductors such as U. Ughi, S. Accardo, V. Spivakov, R. Muti, A. Ceccato, G.Ferro, M. Maisky, J. Demus, F. Gulda,, M. Rostropovich, G. Prêtre, Z. Pesko, A. Lombard , H. Soudant, Steven Mercurio, D. Renzetti, A. Ceccato, Z. Pesko, G. Ferro, W. Humburg, M. Soustrot, Penderesky, G. Kuhn, A. Francis, Y. David, Bartoletti, Zubin Mehta and many others. He regularly holds Masterclasses in Italian and foreign institutions (Shanghai, Poznan, Luzhou, Eger, Dublino, Bacau). Since 1994 he has held the chair of oboe at the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali V. Bellini of Caltanissetta and is the winner of the Competition in Conservatories of Italy for the Chair of Oboe. Many of his students hold places in orchestras and musical institutions.
