Oboist graduated from the V. Bellini Musical Institute” in Caltanissetta in ’90 with the highest marks; he subsequently perfected himself with music masters P. Modica, P. Borgonovo, B. Incagnoli. He has performed solo concertos of W. A. Mozart, A. Marcello, V. Bellini, A. Vivaldi, T. Albinoni, A. Salieri in several parts of the world, such as New York, Strasbourg, Vichy, Palermo, Vinci, Enna, Sciacca.
He has recorded for Italian and foreign television stations; he has also recorded some CDs with artists such as Bocelli and Ricciarelli. He published a book entitled: “Guide to the construction of the reed” for oboe. He has performed in duo with many artists, including the famous guitarist A. Diaz. In 1999 he formed the duo “Astor” (Oboe-Guitar), with which, in addition to performing in the best Italian concert institutions, he is the author of several arrangements.
He has carried out an intense concert activity with several chamber groups. He has also performed in the Italian Cultural Institutes of Tokyo and Brussels and has won numerous first prizes in national and international competitions.
Nella sua carriera annovera touneè con prestigiose istituzioni in America (New York), Russia (Mosca, San Pietroburgo), Francia (Strsburgo, Vichy), Belgio (Bruxelles), Olanda (Eindoven), Ungheria (Budapest), Libano (Beirut), Giappone (Osaka, Tokio, Yokohama, Hamamatsu…) Spagna (Saragozza, Pamplona). Ha collaborato con l’EAOSS (Orch. Sinf.Siciliana).
In his career, he includes tours with prestigious institutions in America (New York), Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg), France (Strasburg, Vichy), Belgium (Brussels), Holland (Eindhoven), Hungary (Budapest), Lebanon (Beirut), Japan (Osaka, Tokyo, Yokohama, Hamamatsu) Spain (Zaragoza, Pamplona). He has also collaborated with EAOSS (Sicilian Symphonic Orchestra).
He is currently the second Oboeist at the TEATRO MASSIMO BELLINI in Catania. He is professor and Artistic Director of the “INTERNATIONAL MUSIC WEEK” of Montedoro (CL).
He currently holds the oboe chair at the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato V. Bellini in Caltanissetta. He is the winner of a Competition in the Conservatories of Italy for the Chair of Oboe.
